Sounding like a scene out of a future ‘Harry Potter goes Fast and Furious’ movie, the Cylinder Head Shop’s motor magic recently outwitted a Sorcerer … ‘The Sorcerer’, in the case, being the nickname of one of the world’s most legendary cylinder head tuners, and Knight of the Legion of Honour, Amédée Gordini of the Le Mans winning Renault Gordinis …

The Cylinder Head Shop

Len Paterson and SERDI for the Cylinder Head ShopSince 1993, The Cylinder Head Shop (previously of Wimbledon), has established its name as a leading specialist in cylinder head tuning and repairs for motorcycle road and racing engines, and other vintage and high performance motorsport vehicles.

The Cylinder Head Shop first pioneered the market leading Serdi valve and valve seat equipment for demanding air-cooled, high-performance engines, and especially vintage motorcycles. It developed a design philosophy of high-quality precision engineering rarely found outside of Formula One or the aircraft industry.

We have worked on everything from vintage aircraft to £500,000 Ferraris and 200 MPH+ street legal Kawasaki, and have found that all modern multi-valve heads can still be noticeably improved; Nissan Skyline, Yamaha R1 (20 Valve), Honda Civic Type R, Audis and so on.

Collector’s Historic Motorsport heads

The Cylinder Head Shop is also the only company to have worked on Amédée Gordini’s personal racing head, improving both Torque and BHP. Other vehicles include; Alfa Romeo 8C, Bristol, Blackburn, Connought, Daimler, ERM, Jaguar, Meadows, Porsche, Aston Martin and some of the rarest car and motorcycle heads (including bronze ones) in the world.

People come to us when no one else can do it …

And more than often when some less experienced or dedicated machine shop has messed a head up. Few people can claim to have worked on, resolved and learned from such a wide variety of engines and parts.

Have your head re-machined today on tomorrow’s technology on the same equipment used by the top motorsport teams.

If you care that little bit extra about your engine, so do we.
